FGULEM accepts no liability arising from the use by third parties of the contents of the website and will seek any available civil or criminal redress it may have in the case of infringement of any of these rights by users.

Law on Data Protection (LOPD)

In compliance with Spanish Organic Law 15/1999 on the Protection of Data of a Personal Nature, FGULEM informs you that any personal data provided to it will be saved in computer files for processing. Data recorded in this way may be used for statistical purposes, for providing information on activities and services that may be of interest to you, for administering the service and for managing incidents. FGULEM is committed to fulfilling its obligation to confidentiality in respect of data of a personal nature supplied to it and its duty to handle them maintaining secrecy, in accordance with current legislation. For this purpose, it will adopt whatever measures may be necessary to avoid unauthorized alteration, loss, processing or access. You are likewise informed that if you wish to exercise the rights envisaged by Article 5 of Law 15/1999, you may do so through the e-mail address, quoting “LOPD” as the subject and indicating your full name, your identity document number and the type of right you wish to exercise: access, rectification, cancelation or disagreement. You may also deregister from the services offered by FGULEM through its website by using the same address, quoting “Baja del portal” [deregistration] as the subject.


The FGULEM website uses cookies (small files of data sent by the server to the computers of users accessing the site) to the extent that they are essential for the correct functioning and display of the website for users. The cookies used by the website are in any case temporary and are removed when the user session ends. In no case will cookies be used to gather information of a personal nature.

1. General:

In compliance with the duty to provide information envisaged by Article 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002, of 11 July 2002, on Services in the Information Society and Electronic Trade, the following data are provided: These general sale conditions apply strictly to all sales to individuals made by the FUNDACIÓN GENERAL DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE LEÓN Y DE LA EMPRESA, with company registration number [C.I.F.] G24356644, registered address at Jardín de San Francisco, s/n 24004 León, telephone +34 987 291651, e-mail, hereinafter referred to as FGULEM. All purchases from FGULEM necessarily imply as an essential, determining and mandatory condition unreserved acceptance by Clients of the General Conditions of FGULEM in force on the day on which the relevant order is placed. Clients further agree that acceptance of these conditions will imply application of the same to the order to which they refer, together with all later orders, except in those cases in which new conditions are communicated to them by FGULEM. The fact that FGULEM at a given moment may not enforce one or more of the present conditions should not be interpreted as, or seen as equating to, relinquishment of the right to enforce them at some prior or later point. Law Applicable and Competent Jurisdiction. Interpretation and execution of these conditions, as also all the actions ensuing from them, will be subject to Spanish law, unless there are public stipulations to the contrary.

2. Prices:

The prices published on the website are in euro and are valid, errors and omissions excepted. All prices include value added tax at the rate applicable on the day of the order. Any change in the rate of V.A.T. will be applied automatically to the prices of our products.

3. Methods of Payment:

On placing an order, clients may choose freely between the following methods of payment for their purchases from FGULEM:

  • Electronic payment with a credit or debit card through the electronic trade payment platform of Banco de CajaEspaña de Inversiones, Salamanca y Soria, S.A.
  • Payment by credit card at the Language Centre office, within five working days from the date of registration.
  • Payment by making a bank deposit or transfer within five working days from the date of registration, using the following details:

4. Policy on Refunds and Cancellation:

Requests for refunds must be made in person through the Language Centre office. To request a refund, it is necessary to complete the appropriate form and to present photocopies of the registration form, the receipt for payment, your identity document and details of your bank account. If a request is made at least seven calendar days before the start of a course, the course fees will be refunded in full. From six calendar days before the start of the course until seven calendar days after the course begins, one half of the fees will be refunded. Once seven or more calendar days have gone by since the beginning of the course, no refund will be possible. If a course is cancelled by the Centre, fees will always be refunded in full to those participants enrolled upon it who so request.
