- Programa formativo en institución de renombre, en el departmento de Zoología, donde el becario formará parte del siguiente proyecto:
The Leuciscid and Cyprinid fish are distributed throughout Europe. Both
families are primarily freshwater fishes, and the biodiversity and
relationships of many groups is still not known well. Especially
interesting and still unknown is the area of the Balkan peninsula. The
taxonomy of many genera in the area of south-eastern Europe is not well
known. Their divergence, distribution and biogeographical history are
also unclear. Zoological collection of the institution includes numerous
samples of Leuciscid and Cyprinid fish from the Balkans, as well as
from other parts of Europe, available for the proposed project. The aim
of the proposed project is to investigate evolutionary and phylogenetic
relationships of the populations of selected genera and to explain the
mechanisms of their dispersion.
- Knowledge, skills and competences to be acquired by the end of the traineeship: - to extract the DNA from the samples
- to amplify the extracted DNA for selected mitochondrial gene and nuclear markers
- to sequence amplified genes and aligned the sequences
- to quantify the genetic diversity of the samples
- to analyse the phylogenetic and phylogeographic relationships among the different evolutionary lineages
- to verify the possibility of hybridisation between different species by comparing the morphological and genetic data
- to deduce the biogeographical history of the analysed species
El
becario contará con un tutor que se encargará de la formación inicial y
de su seguimiento y apoyo durante todas las prácticas.
- Seguro de asistencia en viajes tanto en el trayecto como durante la estancia del participante en destino.
- Dotación económica Erasmus+:
300€/mes. Aquellos estudiantes que hayan disfrutado de una ayuda
general del Ministerio de Educación y Cultura o una beca del Gobierno
Vasco en el curso 2021/2022, recibirán una ayuda adicional de 100€/mes
financiado.
- Apoyo lingüístico a través de plataforma online.
- Duración: 3 meses (con posibilidad de prorroga 3 meses más).
- Fecha de incorporación: Enero 2023 (flexible)
